How do I set my store to Vacation/Holiday mode?

What is Vacation/Holiday Mode?

Vacation mode allows you to temporarily suspend your store from receiving orders. This may be necessary if you are on holiday, relocating, facing an emergency that prevents you from fulfilling orders, or if you are out of stock on most or all products.

How do I enable it on my store?

To set your store to vacation mode, please log into your Dashboard.

On the left hand side, you will see a Gray column with options. Click on Settings.

This will bring up all of your Store Settings. Scroll down to the Go to Vacation field.  Click on the tick box and you will be presented with two (2) options of what closing style you prefer.  You can either Instantly Close or chose a Date Range.

Once you decide this you are able to set a vacation message.  When you are happy with the message, scroll to the bottom of the page and make sure to click on Update Settings.

Your store will then be closed from the public.

Important notice: If you have chosen the Instantly Close option, once you are ready to reopen the store and be live again, you MUST return to the Go to Vacation field, untick the box, and Update Settings.

Why is my store on Vacation/Holiday Mode?

If you did not place your store in vacation mode yourself, nor requested us to do so on your behalf, it is likely that we have done so due to multiple unsuccessful attempts to contact you. According to our Terms and Conditions, we reserve the right to take this action if you have outstanding orders and fail to respond to either customers or ourselves.

We make an effort to contact you via email regarding any pending orders. However, if we do not receive a response within 72 hours and the order remains unprocessed, we will place your store in vacation mode to prevent negative customer experiences and future order cancellations.
