Shopify Sync FAQ
This Shopify integration feature may not be enabled for our older vendors (you cannot see the Import icon on the Products tab within the Dashboard)
To enable it, please reach out to our support team via live chat. Simply visit our website and click on the blue live chat button located at the bottom-right corner of the page.
Will my Creoate store update Shopify
No. Right now the sync is 1 way. We can import your data from shopify but we do not 'write' information around orders or inventory changes back to Shopify. This is on our roadmap to build but not yet implemented
Can I have more than one variation type for a product?
No, our system supports only one variation type per product. For example, you may select either Colour or Size, but not both simultaneously.
What types of product variations are supported?
For a comprehensive list of the variations we support, please refer to the Supported Variations page.
How are products categorised upon synchronisation with Creoate?
All products are assigned to a single category when synced to Creoate. Once the sync is complete, you may update the category via the dashboard by disabling the sync option. However, please note that subsequent resyncs will only affect inventory, not the full product information.
Example: If a Shopify store has categories such as: Home, Garden, Chairs, etc...
All products will be synced under one Creoate category, for example, “Home and Garden”.
What happens when I resync products?
During a resync all information will be updated with two exceptions:
- Product categories will never be updated so feel free to update your products to the most relevant Creoate category and we will not overwrite it.
- Price - We offer the ability to 'lock' your price per product on your dashboard. If this is ON then we will not sync your product prices during the next automatic sync.

This means that all images, descriptions, inventory, pack sizes, orderably qty, Minimum order values etc WILL be updated.
