How are products categorised upon synchronisation with Creoate?

All products are assigned to a single category when synced to Creoate. Once the sync is complete, you may update the category via the bulk file upload on our dashboard. This allows you to download a spreadsheet where you can easily update categories before re-uploading in a few clicks.

Example: If a Shopify store has categories such as: Home, Garden, Chairs, etc...

All products will be synced under one Creoate category, for example, “Home and Garden”.

What happens when I resync products?

During a re-sync we update all of your product information except for:
1. Pricing updates (If you change your pricing in Creoate - make sure its locked. We recommend you lock all pricing so that you can customise directly in creoate and it not get overwritten.

2. Category updates (If you change your categories in Creoate - we will never overwrite it)

3. Status - If you draft a product in Shopify we will not import or update that product in Creoate.

Can product information be modified after the initial sync?

Yes! Use our bulk upload. Be sure to lock your pricing!
